Spare parts

The part is gone. The machine is not.

A few centimetres of plastic bring an installation to a halt, and the manufacturer no longer supplies it, or only in months. We remake it.

This is the classic case: a holder, a gear, a valve or a bracket has broken, the machine is down, and in the catalogue the part is marked as no longer available. What is left is waiting on a supplier who no longer makes it, or replacing the whole module for many times what the piece is worth.

There is a third way. With the broken piece, a photo with dimensions or a drawing, we remake it in a material that suits what it has to endure. We look at why the original broke, because that is rarely an accident, and choose the material with that in mind.

How it goes

From broken piece to working part.

With a file

If you have a STEP or STL file it goes straight through the quote tool. You pick material and quantity and see at once whether it can be done.

Without a file

The piece itself always measures better than a photo. If you want to send it, first ask through the contact form whether that is possible, tell us what it is worth, and send it only once we have agreed. Otherwise a photo with a ruler or caliper beside it will do, and for something made of several bolted parts, both assembled and apart.

When it does not fit

A part that carries a safety function, holds pressure or has to be certified, we do not print as a replacement. A piece that has to be metal because it carries or conducts stays metal; that is what the partner network is for.

Typical work: guides and stops, gears and pulleys in machines, holders and brackets, valve parts, and components of installations whose maker has stopped or dropped the line.

What we need to start: what the part does, what it has to cope with in temperature and fluid, and whether it must fit something that already exists. That last one decides how tightly we have to work to size.

A part you cannot get anywhere?

With a 3D file, the quote tool shows your price straight away. No file? Email a photo with dimensions to info@nworks3d.be. If you want to send the broken piece itself, first ask through the contact form where it should go, and tell us what it is worth. Either way, you will hear what is possible.
